Tengu is the half sibling to our foundation female, Juke Box. Tengu was the first male Carolina Dog to achieve Dual championship status by obtaining a conformation championship in UKC and a lure coursing championship in ASFA. Tengu was the first Carolina Dog to earn a UKC lure coursing title, as well as the only Carolina Dog to hold the LCC title in ASFA lure coursing. Tengu is known for his confidence and good looks alike. He is a proven producer and has contributed to the genepool in way of conformation champions and successful athletes. With excellent manners around dogs of all kinds and a temperament that makes hearts melt, Tengu has a lot to offer the Carolina Dog breed. Tengu will be making his AKC sport and conformation debut in Spring 2026. Tengu sired his first litter in 2023. Several of his offspring have successful show and sport careers in both AKC and UKC. His son is a successful service dog to his owner who is a long time member of the breed community. Tengu has won three Carolina Dog breed specialties including the 2026 Carolina Dog national breed specialty held in conjunction with UKC's premier national event. Tengu is the highest pointed Carolina Dog in AKC Conformation history. He is the only Carolina Dog to hold the CM4 and CM5 titles in AKC conformation. He boasts a record number of wins for the breed in the AKC Open Show ring with 24 Best In FSS/Group One wins and 20 Best In open show wins, and counting, throughout his short career and having only competed in 30 AKC open shows!
