"Doc Holliday".

Doc Holliday joined our family in March 2024. Born on May 1st, 2021, Doc is an American racing bred Greyhound out of WW CopyCat and Iruska All Star. He is a tank of a dog, standing 28" at the withers and 83LB. His size likely served as a disadvantage on the race track as he only ran 4 races and won none of them, though he was a kennel favorite. Aside from his size, the most eye-catching physical characteristic of Doc is undoubtedly his white fur with black speckleding. He raced under the name "WW Great Gatsby," which would serve as one of the reasons he popped into my life. A friend tagged me in his picture on Facebook and said, "Look, you could have two Gatsbys!". Doc was adopted through James river Greyhounds exactly a month after the passing of my heart dog, Broccoli. He made his UKC Conformation debut in April 2024, less than a month after his adoption, and went on to finish his UKC Championship in May. He has competed in ASFA Lure Coursing, placing 4th out of 8 singles for his debut and has earned his AKC ATT title, with his CGCs and FDC titles being his next goals. He is the definition of "Happy-go-lucky" and has the softest soul I've ever known. He has the personality of Ken from the Barbie movie. He is affectionately called by many nicknames, including Doctor, Mr. Holiday, and Holliday Pie. He is a fan favorite among friends and family.
