CRK breeding program
Carolina Reaper Kennels is a small, hobby breeding program for Carolina Dogs. Our goal is to further the breed as well as increase the Carolina Dog numbers across conformation and performance sports. We currently have one breeding planned for 2026. On this page, you can find our pricing information as well as our puppy interest application. Our waitlist is still open. Space is limited and priority will be given to those interested in pursing conformation and performance with their Carolina Dog. You do not need breed experience or conformation experience to be approved for our waitlist or considered for placement.
Pricing
Pricing for our puppies is based off of the work that has gone into the sire and dam of the litter. Our dogs are extensively titled in a variety of sports and venues, with our foundation female holding over 55 titles and counting as well as multiple breed firsts in various ventures. Our dogs are also extensively health tested. We utilize Embark, OFA, and Pennhip as well as several different veterinary practices to insure we are fully informed and able to make the right decision for the future of our dogs as well as the future of their offspring. Having a litter has it's own expenses as well. From progesterone testing, to ultrasounds, to specialized equipment, all leading up to the vetting of the puppies- a lot of time and money goes into doing right by our dogs. Prices also vary across the breed, commonly between $1,000 - $2,500. Our puppies are also embarked and dual registered with AKC (American kennel Club) and UKC (United Kennel Club) prior to going home, which also factors into overall cost.
Pricing also depends on the type of contract you are interested in. While all of our contracts guarantee life time breeder support and access to a variety of resources, some involve guardian home situations or co-ownership with breeder situations. For example, any Carolina Dog produced by CRK that is placed with the consideration of maturing into future breeding stock- must be on a co-own contract with CRK. No Carolina Dog produced by CRK will come with full breeding rights. Below is a quick guide to pricing.
